Seniors - {Josh}

  I had so much fun shooting Josh today in downtown Des Moines. He showed up this morning (pretty early) with a great attitude and a killer smile. We started out taking some photos at Principal Park and walked around the area to find other great spots. That's what I love about shooting downtown; you never know what you are going to find. Take a a look as these never-before-seen photos...

Website

  For those of you that have received pictures from me in the past,  you probably logged on my old website (or tried to) to took a look at your photos before receiving your disk.  I had a lot of issues with the site and sometimes the client could view their gallery and, but most of the time they couldn't.  It wasn't very user friendly and on my end it was a nightmare to manage. So out with the old and in with the new!
  I read quite a few reviews and weighed my options and decided to go with an account at zenfolio.  It's so easy for me to add new content and very user friendly for you; the best of both worlds! The website is just brand new so I'll keep adding to my galleries as time goes on. I will also set up a feature where you can order your prints right some the site and get them delivered to your door.  So take a look here and let me know what you think.
  Also, just want to thank all of you for taking the time to look at my work and supporting me. I've received and overwhelming response from my clients and if it wasn't for you this website or blog wouldn't exist.

Portrait {Sydney}

  I'm a little behind on my blogging, but better late than never! A few weeks ago I took some pictures of my beautiful niece Sydney. (I can't believe she's going to be starting high school!) Anyways, we went downtown and scoped out a few prime locations. It was fun to hang out all day with little pressure of delivering great photos for either one of us, but I have to say we did get some great shots. Here's a couple you haven't seen yet.

Little Ones {Shayla}

I spent this last Saturday up in Humboldt, Iowa to attend my nieces 3 year old birthday party (and to take photos of course). She was wonderful despite the heat, drizzle, and the fact that there was a big cake waiting for her at home. One of the first photos I took of her she put her hands on her hips and gave me attitude! I think I might have a future model in the family. Take a look at these never before seen photos:

Little Ones {Makenna & Davis}

Last Friday I met with these two cuties to take their pictures. We spent the morning taking pictures in their backyard and then headed for a near by park. I had so much fun capturing photos of them. You just never know what kids are going to do! And who says a crying baby can't be adorable? Take a first time look at these pictures:

Little Ones {Katelyn}

I had so much fun shooting this little girl on Friday. Her mom had a great idea of a beach themed photo shoot and it worked out great. I have to admit, I was a worried about the fact that she hadn’t taken a nap that day, but she was all smiles. She made my job easy and was even posing for the camera.

Dam to Dam

This last Saturday was the annual Dam to Dam in Des Moines, Iowa.  My husband and a couple of his friends were crazy enough to run the 20K race.  I was waiting patiently for them at the finish line. Here are few pictures I was able to capture:

June

June is going to be a busy month! Almost every weekend this month I’m booked with photo shoots.  I have some really neat ideas and I’m very excited to be photographing mostly little ones. I can’t wait to interact and capture their personalities. Stay tuned.

Mother Nature

Last weekend I found myself back home looking to capture some photographs.  Since I was practically in the middle of nowhere, with limited options, I opted to use Mother Nature as my subject.  One of the best subjects to photograph because she never disappoints.

Driving Range

On Friday my husband and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather. With a camera in my hand and a golf bag in Dylan's we went out to Jester Park Driving Range. Dylan was gracious enough to let me photograph him, only while playing golf of course. Here are a few of the shots I took.

Welcome!

Welcome to Ashlee Renee Photography!

First and foremost I want to thank you for taking time to check out my blog. Without your support this blog wouldn't exist. Now that that's out of the way, let me tell you why I started this blog:

I  recently became quite interested in photography and it has been a learning process ever since. I quickly started recruiting friends, family, and my pets that I could photograph for practice, and shortly learned that I was falling in love with photography. In the months that I've been taking photos I've hand many people approach me about photographing portraits, weddings, couples, maternity, and children. I decided that this was quickly growing and that it was time to get a Facebook page, website, and blog to share my photos. Since I was creating all of these sites a name was a must. What better to use than my name? I know, I know, I spell my name Ashley, but I decided I liked the way Ashlee Renee looked and so Ashlee Renee Photography was created. Although I still use photography as a hobby it may become more of a career later in life. Who knows?

So please take time to look around and feel free to contact me for any photography needs, questions, or comments.
